We've all heard about how inventory is at an all-time low. Normally in the Spring, we carry well over 100 listings... currently we have 80. Despite the lack of listings, we are busier than ever - 23 of our 80 properties are under contract. That's over 28%!
Because not many houses are on the market, buyers are grabbing what they can, resulting in multiple offers on one property - often near full price or even OVER list price. Something else to consider is the fact that North Texas home prices are up 13% from what they were last year at this time. Supply is low and demand is high, which is leading to major success for sellers.
What does all this mean? It's a seller's market. If you've been contemplating putting your house on the market, now is the time to do so, especially if you're interested in getting top dollar for your home.
